For Arizona foodies one of the tastiest festivals of the year is almost here: the Scottsdale Culinary Festival. It is being held at the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall at 7380 E. 2nd Street in Scottsdale on Saturday, April 14 (from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) and Sunday, April 15 (from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.). 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of this two-day event which presents offerings from 40 local restaurants and 30 craft breweries. Demonstrations will be given by chefs and a teen cooking challenge is among the list of weekend activities. The festival will also feature 20 music bands, a wine garden, a family zone, and much more. If you want a taste of Arizona culture, this event is the ideal venue.
Participating Restaurants
Representing the best of BBQ Country will be entrees from Tom’s BBQ & Catering, Pork-On-A-Fork, the Barbecue Company, and Honey Bear’s BBQ. European Pizza entries will be brought by Sonata’s Restaurant, Cornish Pasty, and Grimaldi’s. The Grub Lot Food Trucks will come from Mr. Mesquite Taqueria, Grubstak, Pho King, Modern Tortilla, and Doughlicious Desserts, LLC. Sweet Street confections will be brought by LuLu’s Sorbetto and The Nitro Live Ice Creamery. The American Square will include Flourish, Aioli’s Gourmet Burgers, Famous 48, and Shake Shack. Latin Hill entries include YaYa’s Mexican Bar and Grill, OTG, and Saguaro Scottsdale. Delicacies will be brought to the Asian Village by Sakana Sushi and Grill, Roka Akor Steak, Seafood, and Sushi, and PokiTrition.
Vip and Other Vendors
VIP restaurants will also include Aioli’s Gourmet Burgers and Tommy Bahamas restaurant, bar, and store. Other vendors will include Renewal by Andersen, Pro Travel, Phoenix New Times, Jorge’s Habit Habanero Sea Salt, Elite Restaurants, Lyft, Rhineland Cutlery, Optum Supplements, PaKoLazo Pottery, and Sogno Toscano specialty foods.
New to the Festival in 2018
This year, the Liquid Arizona lounge is sponsored by Hensley Beverage Company and Phoenix Magazine. Liquid Arizona will be representative of local wineries, craft beer, and other spirits found around Arizona.
Live Music
The festival is taking its musical tones back to the ‘90s with Everclear and Eve6, who will be playing on Saturday, April 14, at the Stella Artois Stage.
